Shortfin Lionfish, South Lombok Indonesia

The Shortfin lionfish (Dendrochirus brachypterus), grows to a maximum length of 17 cm. Like all lionfish, they are generally non-aggressive, but are capable of delivering a potent venom through long spines along their back.
