Diving Fun Fact

Valentin's Sharpnose Puffer

Valentin's sharpnose puffers can be found in the Indian, Red and Pacific Oceans where they grow to no more than 11 cm. These adorable omnivores dart quickly around reefs, feeding on filamentous green and red algae, tunicates and even mollusks. Though their small size should be enough to discourage consumption, they are also quite poisonous to eat. We saw this one while diving in South Lombok.
