Travel Fun Fact

Crab-eating macaque

The crab-eating macaque, gets its name because it is often spotted foraging for crabs in mangrove forests throughout Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Despite its moniker, the long-tailed primate is actually an opportunistic omnivore, eating a wide variety of plants and animals. This highly intelligent monkey has been observed using tools to open shellfish in the wild. Read more about wetland wildlife in our post, Singapore's Sungei Buloh Wetlands.
