Travel Fun Fact

Himeji Castle Japan

Himeji Castle was originally constructed in 1333 in the Hyōgo Prefecture of Japan. The structure has managed to weather the past 400 years basically unscathed, despite extensive nearby bombing in WWII, and at least one major earthquake. This was our favorite place to see the cherry blossoms during Sakura in Japan. Read more in our post, Visiting Himeji Castle During the Cherry Blossom Festival (Sakura).
