Starfish Fun Fact

Starfish are invertebrates who move themselves along the ocean floor using the thousands of tiny tube feet that line each of their five arms. Prey is also passed along the tube feet to a mouth at their center, though some species are known to devour a meal by everting their stomachs. These fascinating creatures can regenerate limbs and produce both sexually, or asexually. We spotted this one lounging on the coral while diving in Bunaken, Sulawesi. Read more about the life we encountered while diving here in our post, Scuba Diving Bunaken, Sulawesi.
