Diving Fun Fact
Bargibant's pygmy seahorse was first discovered by accident in 1969 when a biologist was preparing samples of a sea fan for lab work. It is one of the smallest species of seahorses in the world at less than 2 cm in length. Like all seahorses they mate for life, and the male gives birth to their offspring rather than the female. We saw this one diving in South Lombok. Read more in our post, A Scuba Divers Guide to Lombok, Indonesia.
