Green Turtle, Komodo National Park, Indonesia

Green sea turtles spend most of their time submerged, but must return to the surface to breathe air. They can hold their breath for hours at a time unless stressed or hunting, during which breathing intervals can be reduced to just minutes. We saw this one while diving Komodo.
