Octopus, Lembeh, Indonesia

Octopus are among the most intelligent invertebrates on the planet, but they have a relatively short lifespan. Males usually die shortly after delivering their sperm to females. Females care for the fertilized eggs, and usually die once they have hatched. We saw this coconut octopus hunting for a new shell while diving in Lembeh, Indonesia.
