Diving Fun Fact
Pacific Sea Nettles (Chrysaora fuscescens) can be found in the waters between Canada and Mexico. The bright orange bell can grow to a diameter of 3 feet wide in the wild, and the tentacles can stretch to a length of 15 feet. The long tentacles contain a neurotoxin that can paralyze small prey fish, but is non-lethal to humans. I swam through a huge swarm of these jellyfish in Monterey Bay, California to get this shot, and yes I got stung.
