Salp Anilao Philippines

Why is this fish swimming around inside a salp? This holocentrid fish lives in the open ocean during its larval stage. It has taken up residence inside the salp until it can grown big enough to survive on its own. We encountered this fish and salp during a black water dive in Anilao, Philippines.
