Diving Fun Fact

Tawny nurse shark

A tawny nurse shark resting inside of the MV Kudhi Maa Wreck in South Ari Atoll, Maldives. These mostly nocturnal sharks prey primarially on octopus and other invertebrates. Using their large and muscular pharynx, they create a powerful vacuum to suck prey out of crevices in the reef. You can read more about diving in the Maldives in our post, Going Angaga: Scuba Diving in the Maldives.
