Travel Fun Fact

Clouded monitor lizard

Clouded monitor lizards can grow to a length of 3-4 feet, and are found in wooded areas throughout Southeast Asia. They use their long sharp claws to climb trees and dig for prey. Their mouth contains venom glands, along with a potent bacterial mixture that they use to subdue their prey. We have spotted this one crawling through an irrigation pipe at Dairy Farm Nature Reserve, Singapore. Read more about Singapore's wildlife in our post, Singapore's Sungei Buloh Wetlands.
