Travel Fun Fact

Eastern Bearded Dragon

The Eastern Bearded Dragon uses camouflage or inflates itself when threatened. Their beards protrude from their necks when puffed up and they will also open their mouths wide, exposing the bright yellow lining. The dragons typically grow to about 55cm. Water dragons are found in eastern Australia and southern New Guinea. We encountered this dragon at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Read more about our visit there in our post, Campervan Camping and Road Tripping from Brisbane to Melbourne.
