Massive Short-tailed Stingray, Jervis Bay, Australia

The short-tailed stingrays is the largest known species of stingray in the world, reaching a max length of nearly 7 feet and a weight of up to 700 pounds. They are not usually aggressive, but are capable of inflicting a lethal wound with a long venomous spine in their tail. We saw this one while snorkeling in Jervis Bay, Australia.
